in LA again
written monday night:
i'm in LA now! nothing exciting happened on the plane, and straight from the airport i headed off to santa monica with mark. we met nadia (i met her in the AOL no doubt chatroom when i was 16/17 years old, that's how i met mark too) at real food daily. last time i was there, we saw anthony kiedis (from red hot chili peppers in case you don't know). i wondered if i'd see anybody this time.. i was looking out the window and saw diego luna walk by! then he came in. haha. i always see somebody famous :) he was with a girl that was super pregnant, i'm sure they were together. he was looking kinda chunky in the belly, some facial hair, he was ok. gael garcia bernal is way hotter (i hated y tu mama tambien). too bad i'm not a fan, but then it'd be kind of awkward.
i got the 'living wrap' which was basically a bunch of veggies wrapped in some chard or lettuce or something. it was $10, not really worth the price.. but it was decent. i wanted something light since we were going to get dessert later. nadia and mark got the nachos which seemed a lot bigger this time, last time i got them they didn't seem to have that much on top! i stole a few of their chips of course! then we went to the 3rd street promenade where nadia made me feel like a loser for having no style haha i hate shopping and didn't like anything i saw. or i'd see something and decide it'd be better for somebody else, not me. we did find some really horrendous oversized t-shirts (probably meant to be a nighty) that was all christmas style with teddy bears, red and green, blah blah blah.. i have no idea why a store would be selling those, they had some really other ugly clothes that i wish we had time to put on but they were closing. dammit!

so we went back to real food daily and got dessert, nadia and i got the brownie sundae but mark got nothing. it was soooo good! a brownie cut in 4 pieces with vanilla rice ice cream (they were out of soy, i can't taste the difference anyway) and chocolate sauce poured on top. i'm glad i didn't eat a lot earlier since i was full from eating all the dessert even. we then headed over to nadia's apartment in marina del rey and she put makeup on us (she works at a makeup counter in nordstrom). i wasn't really feeling the browns she had for eyeshadow on me so i had her go darker w/some grays and it was much more my style. we took a bunch of amusing pictures and she started to get dirty with mark haha i felt a little weird taking THOSE ones :) let's just say she's definitely not shy!

we went back to studio city and went to bed at 1am, to wake up at 7am for leno. gillian anderson was on tuesday and we hadn't gotten tickets yet....
