"we're in a little bit of a pickle, dick."
okily dokily. here is my predicament: my good friend laura ashley (from college) just got a job at my museum. she will have to move to little rock in order to come to work. this is great news upon first inspection. i love the girl and we would have an ass-ton of fun together. however, she wants us to be roommates. again, great when i first thought about it. yah, then i started thinking about it in depth. living together AND working together. not so good. plus, i found a place that i fell in love with that is a one bedroom. i don't want to hate her so that's why i don't want us to live together. i don't know how to tell her this. (angie, i shall be calling you tonight to get your advice and of course have phone sex with you). ay carumba.
now i must tell you about this apartment. it's in an old school from 1895 that's been converted to living space. it's called the kramer school artist co-op. it's for folks such as myself that make piddly salaries and participate in some sort of artistic expression. (i'm currently taking an oil/acrylic painting class with the art center and my curator hired me to do a drawing for him). it's actually a loft space with a little bedroom sectioned off. it has 16 foot ceilings and exposed air ducts. AWESOME! it's also huge (960 sq. ft.) and has the original hardwood floors. aside from the bedroom, it's completely open. they pay for your water and electric bill. plus, it's only 3 blocks from the museum so i could walk to work. i applied yesterday and i found out tuesday if i get. i wants it very badly. maybe i should sacrifice a virgin to the apartment gods so i can get it.
in completely unrelated news: i'm dating a dude from another museum down the street. i love finding nerds just like me to hang with. the funniest part is he is 6'4.
