Photos, at last.

So, I put off making a photo post until I got all of my Dublin and London pictures from that other memory card uploaded. Well, I haven't done that yet but since I figured of you are more interested in Paris anyways, I thought I might as well get started on the Paris photos.

A lovely statue and the street sign for the Rue du Faubourg Saint Denis, which was quite near our hotel.

And the Rue du Faubourg Saint Denis (probably)

Here's a picture taken from the square in the center. Look at the spooky clouds...

This is the arch in the square. Taken on the same day as the one above it, but no spooky clouds.

Here it is, the cathedral.

The Gargoyles, of course. I really love the last one.

I do believe that this is the spire that Ol' Vic so dearly detested, yes?

A pretty view of Paris from the towers. Bonus points will be given if you can identify landmarks despite my shoddy photography.

Can't you just imagen liquid metal pouring out of it?

The bell!

A nice side view of the Cathedral.

The back of Notre-Dame, complete with grumpy old man walking through my picture!

Another shot of the back. Sans the old man, but plus a pretty fountain.

A pretty picture through the trees.

We bought our Metro passes at the airport, but wound up spending FAR to much on them since they were zones 1 throug 5 (something we didn't discover until we bought them). The ride from Charles de Gaulle into the city was relatively uneventful. I almost got pickpocketed on the way to the hotel, though, and the hotel managed to get our rooms wrong so we had to stay in whatever was available. Which turned out to be on the ninth floor.

The food in Paris was simply amazing. We ate twice at a restaurant near our hotel called Le Londres. I got a croque monsieur that was absolutely fantastic. And the breakfasts! It was just bread and a croissant but it was so good. On the day we went to the Louvre, we got pastries from a bakery on the Rue Jean Jacques Rousseau!
(and here's a street sign for you all:
