hey sister-- i agree, i think the only reason hillary didn't win was that she wasn't a man. if she were a man she would have been taken more seriously. that's what i find really disappointing about the whole election.

I totally agree! Those clips are very awful. Although I guess most of them are from "the usual suspects," I am still surprised at how far some of the comments went.

What I found most disturbing was talking with men in my life about Hilary. The things they had to say were downright mysogynistic. And these are progressive men! Fortunately, Marc was not one of them. :-)

i haven't been on livejournal in a few days... but that's a really interesting article and i remember trying to tell my boss and fellow co-workers that they were being sexist in not being able to describe why they don't like clinton (they just didn't like HER).... but i just couldn't put a finger to it. so this article really does say what i was thinking. i hope you don't mind, but i'm gonna post it to facebook.
