sigh
well it's been a long time since i've written, i guess not much exciting stuff has happened. this week went by real quickly...friday after work i ran into jay who waiting for his laundry on campus, and went back to the room with him to watch legally blonde w/ lauren. we painted our nails while watching it...;) you just had to..hehehe. went to the track meet for like five seconds and then spent the next few hours setting up for the special olympics. the baseball team helped, making things interesting. somehow my name was changed to suzie? i dont know, hahaha...the weather forecast changed from rain to cloudy which made me so happy. it would have been so difficult to work that around, b/c we dont cancel it, we just have to somehow play everything inside, but we already had all the gyms, including the high school, in the area booked :-( i get all frenzied thinking about it, and it didnt even happen ;) i went to stop at brendan's and chris'. no one was there, so i give them a call just to tell them i stopped by, and chris is screaming into the phone, all excited, asked for a ride home from the tavern. picked up up brendan, chris, and chris' cousin. They were hilarious!!!! a lil drunk...just a bit ;) hehe i dropped them off safely at their house and went home to iron on letters to the back of my special olympics shirt and watch old friends episodes that lauren has on dvd.
woke up the next morning bright and early to make it over to the gym at 7. the next few hours were of course a whirlwind of activity. once again i ahd to MC the opening ceremonies :-/ so half an hour of me talking from a prewritten script that is so dumb...they gave me some beautiful flowers...lilies maybe? not quite sure. they are such a strong aroma tho. whew..the whole room is whew, yah a lil overbearing almost. brett and heather showed up at the same time brendan and chris did. brett, chris, and brendan were assigned to three on three basketball down at the high school gym,, keeping score, reffing and keeping time. heather also kept score down there as well. since most of the hub bub had died down i just hung out down there figuring no one would miss me. two hotties were reffing the one game...grrrrr...brett and heather really got a kick out of me "kicking my game" to them :) of course it was unsuccessful, but fun nonetheless. after a long cleanup special olympics, 2003 were over :( it was a lot of fun, yet again, and i really wish i could do it next year. :( i feel it ran a lot better this year. there were a few problems, like the lunches being a lil late, and the shuttle bus dissapearing for a long time...but besides that. volunteers were a lot better it seems. i think b/c there were less people that signed up and they were on schedules of what time they had to come and so instead of sitting around not having anything to do, they actually were kept busy, so they weren't tempted to leave. a lot less stressful this year.
brett and heather took me out to eat at the tavern, where i was close to falling asleep-i was so exhausted. oh and heather gave me my birthday gift. a curious george alarm clock :-D and a paul frank t shirt. MONKEY!!!!!! i stopped at chris and brendan's to thank them again for helping out and ending up sticking around for a while. i was having a good time, not drinking, just sitting around talking until i got a phone call from kirby, which basically put me in my place that i hate guys and that this summer is going to suck, blah blah blah woe is me ;) that put me in a pissy mood for the rest of the night,, that combined w/ the rising annoyance of drunken people, and complete exhaustion sent me home to fall into a deep slumber.
sunday was a complete waste of time. i woke up, grabbed brunch solo, yet again, took a little nap. Ran 2 hours and 20 minutes worth of mileage..probably around 14miles? grabbed some food solo, yet again. and suddenly its 8 o clock. :( i didnt even do work after that...i am pathetically lazy. so that brings me to here. i lost my contact this morning and apparently dont have any more up here. so i will either have to drive home, two hours...or i'll have to run this week w/ my glasses on :( sucky, especially since this is the longest amount of miles this week ever, and will be the longest i'll ever have. damnit. i dont know what i want to do yet...
all right, its 9:19am, and i still havent started doing work, so i best be going...peace out foos
