Actress Brittany Murphy died at age, 32, after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, according to multiple media reports.Fire Department spokesman Devon Gale says an emergency call was made at 8 a.m. Sunday from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to British screenwriter Simon Monjack, who is married to Murphy.Gale told the Associated Press one person was transported to a hospital.TMZ reports Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and pronounced dead on arrival.The celebrity Web site reports Murphy's mother found the actress unconscious in the shower, and was in full cardiac arrest and started CPR. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office is reportedly launching an investigation into Murphy's death, according to TMZ. Murphy became well-known after her role as dorky outcast, Tai, in 1995 teen flick “Clueless.” She also starred opposite rap phenomenon Eminem in 2002 in "8 Mile,” in addition to roles in “Girl, Interrupted,” “Uptown Girls” and “Happy Feet.”In 2003, Murphy starred opposite ex-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher as a newlywed couple in "Just Married."Born and raised in Edison, N.J., Murphy began her performing career at age 2.
