Brittany Murphy has been cast in a new movie role and the actress will star opposite a Golden Globe winner
Murphy will play Mickey Rourke's girlfriend in 'The Expendables,' says The Hollywood Reporter.
Sylvester Stallone and Jet Li will also appear in the film which centers around a group of mercenaries who travel to South America in an attempt to overthrow a dictator, THR reports.
Stallone wrote the screenplay and is directing the film which is expected to hit theaters next spring.
