For this one I actually did only watch it because I'd seen some of the Charles/Erik stuff out there. After all, such stuff was inevitable when you have James McAvoy and Michael Freaking Fassbender playing Charles and Erik. Seriously now:

I will say that the movie makes a little more sense the second time 'round, and it helps to know even a rough sketch of the comics it's based on. Otherwise, the scriptwriters and director have admitted that they were going more for story than continuity, so some things aren't going to add up no matter what. (Ex: in the comics, Charles met Erik when he was 17, they were friends for many years before their ideologies caused them to spilt, and Erik helped Charles build Cerebro.)
I don't know if you've seen the clip of the interview yet, and if I was more Google savvy I'd link you to it, but James was asked "How many times have you and Michael had sex?" and he replies in all seriousness "Four." Followed up with "And how tender of a lover is he?" Pause "Define tender." The interviews with McAvoy are so much fun, he ships Charles/Erik harder than half the fangirls, I think.

Okay, but seriously, I have to ask -- when Erik was cradling Charles on the beach, did you squee? Because I squeed. I squeed hard.
