Gaywatch: The Mechanic (2011)

So there I was, minding my own slashy business at a friend's house, when we decide to watch a movie simply because Ben Foster is in it. This is reason enough to watch something because A. He's a damn good actor who isn't in enough damn movies and B. He's an attractive guy. I care more about A while my friend cares more about B, but that's neither ( Read more... )

You should TOTALLY write a story about a masculine gay hitman with a completely different point, setup and plot. Absolutely. I'll read it. But I have this thing about masculine gay hitmen. Also, masculine gay psychic cowboy hitmen.

Yay! It's good to know these are at least having an impact. The Mechanic isn't quite as openly smooshy as those others, but ohhhh the little things. And the potential, of course. XD

If you want something that obvious, try The Eagle. I did a Gaywatch on it a while back and whdorjdfwkslfjsdfndkjgngjkl. Highly recommended.

The lead actors both have stared in slashy films before.

Statham's character in The Transporter was written as bi (and then the execs found out and spent the next 2 movies trying to gloss it over). It's hard to notice, but it's there.

Foster played a very-obviously-in-love-with-his-boss gay cowboy in 3:10 to Yuma. The commentaries even admit it. Also, it's a damn good film.
