Maybe you should appreciate more things than you realize.
I’ve always felt very grateful that I have such wonderful parents. I pity people who don’t have parents like mine. When I was younger I always assumed that everyones parents were as wonderful as mine, and I always disrespected kids who disrespected their parents. I know this is not always the case, I realize that sometimes parents really are awful. I’m just saying, maybe you should take a step back and realize that it’s not as bad as it seems, and that just because you don’t get your way doesn’t mean your parents are assholes. Sometimes they’re wiser, sometimes they can see the bigger pictures, and sometimes they’re just looking out for your well being.
