The changing of the closets

Benny and I have a really small apartment.  400 square feet of close living wonderfulness.  Because we love our neighborhood, living in a tiny apartment is worth it, however, our closet situation was a big problem.  Essentially, we had one 2' x 2' closet for the entire apartment.  Not a coat closet, not a broom closet, nothing.  When we moved in, ( Read more... )

Dont you guys enjoy putting together IKEA? <-- baffled by the idea that people don't like that kind of stuff.

Well I hope so because we will be doing our fair share of it. IKEA opens here tomorrow and my husband will probably be there pretty quickly. I'm sure the smell of meatballs and lingonberry jam have ensnared his senses. We need a kitchen pretty soon and are going to buy theirs. Let the assemblage begin!

They have really nice kitchens. Benny and some of his friends installed one a few years ago in Sweden. They said it wasn't too difficult, and it looked awesome!

If you ever have to do a kitchen I recommend IKEA's. We went looking at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. I think they're ugly and overpriced. I was all set to buy something a little more expensive but I HATE those cheesy looking doors (yeah I'm holding back you can tell). They are super easy to install and held up very well in the kitchen we redid in Stockholm.
