Part Two

Dec 02, 2004 13:43

Since i was cut short yesterday, I will now continue.

There was a power outage in school for about an hour, which ended up cutting into lunch shifts. We (that normally get out at 12:45) thought that we were going to have to stay all day since serving lunch is mandatory and that called for an extended block, but mr mac said we could leave...and it was even earlier than usual. so that was cool. katie, tiff, sara, payton, philip and myself went to the subway in chesapeake square, which happens to be my favorite subway ever. #1. it's the only subway i've been to that has the monterray cheese bread that is yummmmy, and #2. the cool guy that made my sub asked if i wanted stamps and i said sure, and he give me like 16. i filled up an entire card and then gave katie and tiffany the rest. awesome. then cory came up there....since he had stayed at school to eat lunch since it was "good fry day" (only in america)...and all of us, minus sara and payton, went to the mall for a little bit. fun stuff.

you know what? i adore little kids. yesterday in lessons little jack jumped in the 6 feet ALL BY HIMSELF. i was so proud of him, and he was sooo excited. pike/eel with 3 and 4 year olds is by far the best class to teach.

my plans for my christmas party are coming along nicely. i think it's going to be fun, no matter what the turn out is. except, it really angers me that certain people can't have fun without there being alcohol involved. it's so dumb..."is it b.y.o.b.?" NO it's NOT b.y.o.b. it's NO "b" as a matter of fact. my gosh, i just don't get it.

so far my college applications are going as follows:
UVA: almost done..one more essay and some proofreading, + a lot of hope.
JMU: done
GMU: not started
UMW: not started
VT: not started
--->guess i need to get on em. ahh, whatever.

tonight is Swim For The Angels. :-) i wonder how many laps i will do this year in one hour....i think the number from last year to beat is around 145 or so...so, i'll see. woohoo!! oh then afterwards, natalie and i are going to christina's. cory and philip may be there too...but either way, it's definitely time for a visit.

tomorrow is already friday. that is awesome times a thousand. this week went by pretty quickly. i might be going to the NR vs. Lakeland basketball game since its the first one of the season and the biggest game of the season..or, i think there's some decorating thing going on at church that i might go to. i'll have to check into that...because i dont really know much.

have i mentioned how much i think calculus is going to go DOWN HILL now? since mrs luck is gone and we have our new teacher...wow. i mean he's nice and everything, but he's so young and has no experience teaching so there is zero discipline in our cramped class of 30 and he's not the greatest explainer of things. i need problems shown step by step, not summarized and assumed that i know how he got there. so yeah, goodbye to any understanding i might have had this year in that class, and goodbye to anything but a 1 on the AP test. maybe that "calculus for dummies" book would help?

OH, and i found the chris tomlin cd, thanks to ashley and her vast knowledge of the family christian bookstore at chesapeake square mall. it's good.

haaaa and today, i got gas for the first time with my new car, and i couldnt figure out how to unscrew the gas cap, so i had to ask some random man how to do it. turns out i was turning it the wrong way, and he graciously reminded me of "lefty lucy righty tighty". haha.

one more funny thing: today philip was joking on cory about something, dont know what, but cory came back with his quick wit and this (in the same tone has philip had..) "and then you got your blue hurley sweatshirt. and then you turned four. and then you wore it every day since!" ohhh maaan that made me laugh sooo hard. as well as about five other people.

time for a nap.
