states!!!

States was tough this year. Wednesday night after prelims i had a complete meltdown. My mom was amazing. I cannot even explain the amazingness that is sharon austin. It would be strange if i explained what she did for me but it was just above and beyond what most mothers do for their children and she understands me above and beyond what most other teenagers parents understand. So the number one person im writing about is my mother who makes me realize a reason to get up everyday no matter how shitty i feel.

Today Chrissi Sewell impressed me like no other. She dropped yet another second in 200 IM. She dropped a second at prelims and was happy with that and today she went even faster. She wants to quit swimming but shes still doing absolutely amazing. She just did so well today and tried so hard. I was so proud of her. She then dropped another second in 100 back and impressed me again. She really is an incredibly talented swimmer and i was soooo proud of her today.

Colleen McCarthy along with christine impressed me. She gave it everything she had today. She dropped time and swam as hard as she could. She even needed to use my brothers inhaler after 500 free. Thats how hard she tried. She cried at the end of the meet and she made me wanna cry too. I am gonna miss her so much next year, her leadership, her smile, her laugh, and her inspirational spirit.

Erica Genusa made me laugh today like no one else. Before fly she was like get in there and beat some bitches and punch some hoes and i just died. She made me forget all about my nerves. Then at the end she was just like OMG IM GONNA MISS YOU. I am gonna miss her too. Its gonna suck with her leaving this year. She improved so much these past few meets too and got her breast stroke back down to a 1:14 which was great. She got our team points that we needed.

Sarah Knockenghost did really well today too. She dropped 2 seconds from her seed time in 100 back. She did amazing, shes only a freshman and she had times that should have put her in the top 8. She did well in her 500 free today too and placed well in the top 8 and got our team points.

Sophia Burke was upset with her 50 free. She did a 24 in the relay and did a 25 in her race and got third. I thought she did amazing. 3rd place is amazing. Out of all the girls that showed up to swim at prelims and then all the girls even today, she placed higher than 13 of them. Thats awesome. She did so well and got our team ALOT of points.

And my last states shout out is for mary frank. She was bummed about her time today in 100 breast, i sat down and talked with her and nothing was making her feel better, i hope she realizes how well she did. she got 3rd as a freshman. When we were 11 and 13 i remember her telling me how she hoped to be as fast as me one day, i told her she would drop time and be just as fast as me when she was my age, and she has by far surpassed me, shes amazing, and i told her today that i didnt lie then and im not lieing now, she will drop that time but maybe today just wasnt that day, it will just made it all the more sweeter when she does drop it.

congrats to all the girls on the charter team. I think we all did amazing.
