I spent an hour or so at the Oakland County courthouse today, getting 'certified' birth certificates for us, and a new adoption decree for Katie. We need all of that to send to the CCAA for our adoption. The paperchase is overwhelming. I need to get so many papers, then have them notarized, then take them all to the Sec. of State and have them certified, and then send them on to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago to be authenticated. It's really crazy.
Our first homestudy visit is Wednesday, we meet at our social worker's office. I am nervous but I have been thru this before (with katie) so I am sure it's pretty similar. I just need to straighten up the house.
It's naptime, both kids are napping, and I am going to lay down too.
