Maybe a repetitive question...

I apologise in advance if it is.

I want to surprise my husband and his family (in the UK) to go out there for a visit. My husband finally got his temporary green card/resident card I've just had him read me exactly what it says on the card...it's a Permanent Resident Card with a category of CF1 (if that helps anyone). I'm planning to get us tickets for the week of November (as it's rather cheap to travel away from here for Thanksgiving).

Here are some of the issues - my husband has an "old" passport (as of October 26, 2006), will he be able to travel back into the US with the "old" passport accompanied by the temporary green card. (I don't see a point in getting a visa, if he's legal to live here in the US).

I'm also worried about the travel restrictions on the temporary green card...there are none listed. I just want to make sure he's definitely allowed to come and go now with that card, as I'd really hate to get back to JFK with luggage and baby and have him turned away.

Thanks.
