Has anyone had any experience with BUNAC and/or STA Travel? I've been looking at both websites recently and wondered if there were any personal experieces -either loving t or horror stories - conccerning either one. Recently got done doing BUNAC in both England and Ireland....BUNAC gives you enough advice and has a good resource center in London to help you out...altho I did not find a job thru them...but I liked the freedom of BUNAC and would def. recommend it. If you plan on staying in London it shouldn't be too difficult to find work...especially if you wanna go thru a temp agency or do pub work ( ... )

i'm on BUNAC right now, but not in London. I just feel like they only want you to go to London or some big city otherwise you are soooo on your own. I had no job help at all whatsover and it took me ages to find a job through a temp agency, but I guess thats because I want a regular schedule and don't want to do pub work :P I'm in Hertfordshire, St Albans which is about 30min away from London on a train.

I've used STA as a travel agent on a number of occasions, and they've been great every time.

I just got back from my 6 month BUNAC stint and I absolutely loved it. I also felt it was too short of a time period.

while i was on their website i was looking at different locations and you can do NZ for a year, if you're interested. there are no restrictions about being a student or w/in 6months of graduation - i think the only guidelines are 18-30. maybe something to look into?

you can also do Australia for the same I think... but I am in love with England, with London particularly... I wish I could stay there forever and ever and ever!

I've used STA a lot, mostly for booking flights rather than entire travel experiences though. I've always had good experiences with them (apart from the one bald guy at my local branch who always seems a bit snooty), and although they might not be the absolute cheapest prices out there, they usually offer a great combination of flexibility, price and helpful advice if you need it.
