Guildford

My boyfriend has to work in Guildford 2 days next week and I'll be going with him. Is anyone in Guildford? Or has anyone been there who can give me suggestions of what to do while he's at work?

Pretty good shops there, including a Lush store :) Not sure you'd want to hang around the shops for 2 days though. I've never done anything else in Guildford.

I don't know of a Guilford, could it be Guildford maybe? -- just to the SW of London?

Hmm, there's not really much going on there apart from shopping... but it's only about half an hour from London, at least. Take a look at the council's tourism page for a sample of the local delights...

My uncle and aunt live there. It's a pretty unremarkable town, with nothing out of the ordinary. Just your average English High Street with the same shops as everywhere else.

I have to agree. I mean there are some of the nice High Street shops and a House of Fraser, but if you're from London, it's nothing exciting at all. There is a Guildford Museum, where you can kill a bit of time to learn a bit more about the area's history. It's old, but the walk around there is nice, and I think the Guildford Castle is near there, which I haven't been myself.
