It's possible I'm an idiot.
So,
I finished my MSc in August but don't get my results until next week and don't graduate until November. This means I have until December to work fulltime on my student visa and can apply for my fresh talent visa at the end of next week at earliest.
Today I was hired for a full-time retail job (because why else go to grad school?) and the boss wants me to bring "proof of eligibility to work in the UK." Is this something specific I should have or will my passport and National Insurance Number be enough? (Edit to add: I'm American)
Feel free to let me know if I'm dumb.
Edit (Again) My student visa says "Work (and any changes) must be authorized."
Is that normal or am I in trouble?
