Is there anywhere in London to buy maps of other areas in England, namely Manchester or Liverpool?

i'd imagine you could find something like that in bookstores, or even a library.

Is the one near Charing Cross Station/corner of Trafalgar Square still going strong? That's probably the easiest to find.

Seconded. If you can get to central London (Covent Garden or Leicester Square tubes) - why would you go anywhere else?

Yes, thirded, of fourthed.

You'll probably get the maps in any large London bookstore, such as Waterstones, or Books Etc., for Foyles.

But Stanfords specialise in maps, and books about travels and things like that. I think they are the largest specialist map shop in Europe.

Get of at Leicester Square tube, and walk up towards Covent Garden, and along that road you see them on the right. (Or get off at Covent Garden and walk down.)

(I've no idea why their website isn't working. They haven't just gone out of business, have they? It wouldn't surprise me in this climate.)
