General ignorance

Two questions, if you would be so kind:

1.) I'm bringing my laptop with me to the UK and my advisor said our lap tops (generally everyone at the university buys the same one) "probably" all have dual voltage and therefore will only need a plug converter as opposed to a transformer. Does anyone know how I can check to make sure my laptop has this capability? The only other electrical item I just really want to bring with me is my clock/radio/iPod player, and I highly doubt it can do the whole dual voltage thing, but I wouldn't know how exactly to find that out anyway.

2.) I'm flying into Heathrow with British Airways, so I assume I'll be arriving at T5. In your experience, is this terminal difficult to maneuver? I mean, I'll just need to get to the taxi queue and I assume there are signs galore, but sometimes you just never know with airports until you find yourself lugging two giant suitcases and an overnight case into what you think is the lift to the car park when in actual fact it's the service elevator to the tarmac.

Thanks very much in advance!
