Home Tuition Fees on Spousal Visas

Oct 17, 2008 17:22

Hello all!

I'm getting married in June to a wonderful British citizen (in the US, then moving over). Will have a spousal visa until I apply for UK citizenship. I am also considering getting my Masters when I get over there.

However, I'm having a hard time finding out what tuition group I would be lumped into. I've looked on the UKCISA site and the "home" students don't apply to me...but it doesn't mention anything about spouses of UK citizens, either. Every other category, you'd have had to live there for three years as a permanent resident beforehand. The only spousal thing I can find is in reference to refugees or almost-refugees, where the three-year residence rule doesn't seem to apply.

Does anyone have experience with this or any input? The difference in home vs. overseas tuition fees is a little painful!

Thanks so much!
