Noel Edmonds boycotts license fee

Noel Edmonds is boycotting TV licensing fees

Now that he's blabbed about it, do you think they'll come after him? He doesn't seem to think so.

For those paying license fees (or avoiding them, we won't rat you out), how do you feel about them? Sure, no one likes paying out money but would you rather have ridiculous amounts of ads like we do in the US to save £139.50 per year? How do you feel about the current campaign to get more people to pay their licensing fees? In general, do you agree or disagree with Noel's assertions that more and more organizations "seem to think it's OK to badger, hector and threaten people"?

Personally, I wish they could work out some sort of international strategy so that those of us in other countries could have access to some of the really great programming you have over there. I would gladly pay an Internet licensing fee to be able to use iPlayer or watch other British programming (that will NEVER make it to the States for one reason or another) on my computer. I realize it's not likely because it would involve international law instead of just British TV rights, but a girl can dream, can't she?
