Got IRL yesterday, starting to think about citizenship....
I'm American, due to get British citizenship next year, but I have a question about passports.
I read that it is illegal for American citizens to enter and exit with anything other than a US passport, so I'm guessing I have to keep renewing my passport, which is obvious. What will happen to my visas in my current passport? Am I right to assume I will travel with a British passport for everywhere but America.
Also, the other thing about citizenship. The booklet I got states you need a reference from someone with a professional working status, like a doctor or solicitor. I don't know any doctors or solicitors, or really anyone with a professional status. Are there other careers I'm forgetting about?
