I've been a crappy correspondent. You guys can always tell when Real Life is wearing me down, because I vanish for a while. Some days it is too exhausting to even type. Knowhutimean, jellybeans?
But I am feeling less weighted down in general. Even so, I will catch you up on the bad and good, in that order. Special bonus, I go light on the political

I was just in a grump. Typically I like stuff better live, yes. Towards the later years, though, a lot of that enjoyment has been due to the company I had at shows.

They'll always occupy a soft spot in my heart, but no, I don't always agree with the choices they make. Again, just seems like pandering to the non-fan, which is mostly a lost cause, and ignoring what old fans like most about their stuff.
Also, you'll note that I said nothing about J & N. I think they have a permapass for general awesomeness above and beyond the call of duty.
Also, I deliberately made no mention of the GOOD stuff, like GOOD friends I made back in the day, few of whom I still hear from, but still. By hiding online for the past couple of years, the amount of TARDY Duranies I meet has dwindled to near zero. I like it like that.

Srsly. I hate that crap. I don't know if I could get beyond it, frankly. And I still see it as trying to be hip and cool among a crowd of non-fans, which is unlikely to happen.
I still like several of the albums most people like to hate. I still drop an occasional DD track into the DJ list. No "big pants and backwards cap" songs need apply, though.
