the island life is pretty fabulous. i love new england. its been great to get out of the south. i love my job. i'm finally getting used to living with 16 other people. photos are up on facebook. i've been ridiculously busy going seining, catching squid, banding baby osprey, going to ritzy art gallery openings, and generally trying not to spend too much money here. its strange to live somewhere without a single stoplight, no light-up or neon signs, and no chain restaurants. the 3 gas stations aren't even from a chain like shell or bp. i'm learning huge amounts of stuff about cooking because i'm too poor to eat out at the fancy restaurants they have here. i miss hearing about everyone from home. james robo and philip have both been out to visit me though and that was really nice. i got your message jason and i'm so sorry i haven't called back yet! i'll try my best to give you a call sometime soon! i've been sending lots of post cards so leave me your address if you haven't already gotten one. i love to get mail here too and the address is:
