Veterinary Technology (2006-2007)
PROGRAM
• It is a Two-year, fully Accredited course for employment as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
DEGREE
• AS Degree in Veterinary Technology
POST PROGRAM EXAMS
• California State Registered Veterinary Technician Licensing Examination
• Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
UNITS
• required for Major: 97
• required for Certificate: 13-26
PREREQUISITES
• Completion of VT 51 (must be completed prior to or be in progress at the time of application )
• MATH 101 or placement into MATH 105 on Elementary Algebra Placement
• A valid Adult CPR certificate is required at time of graduation.
APPLICATION
• Application must be submitted along with all supporting documents by the June 1st deadline for the program starting the following September.
• Applicants will be notified of the final status of their application by mail by July 15.
• If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the maximum capacity of the program, selection will be based solely on the date and time the completed application packet is received.
• Students must meet program Technical Standards that can be found on-line with the program application.
