Why does he sign his letter's with "love" when that word has clearly never been used in reference to each other vocally? Ah, mysteries...
Dad put an offer on the house that he was looking at on the same street as the house he grew up in. They counter offered, and he counter-counter offered, and they rejected it. It really was a nice house, but I'm thankful he didn't end up buying it, and I think he is too. He sounded kind of relieved. I told him, and this is true, that I think he really needs to go back to school as a TA or something, perhaps for his PhD (that is, if he ever FUCKING FINISHES his masters!!!). A university is a built in community, especially if you're a TA. You meets tons of people, you're in an academic environment, so you meet tons of people interested and passionate about the same things you are, it's time consuming (which I think is important in his case, he needs something that keeps him busy that is interesting to him), and has lots of events that he can go to and meet people in an environment that he's comfortable in. I really hope he does it. I feel sort of guilty saying this, but it would be a huge weight off my shoulders.
Anyway, since he's not buying the house he's coming up to Seattle in August for his birthday. That doesn't leave much time for Brian and I to go to Canada before I start training, since Bumbershoot is the following weekend, but I suppose we could go during the week, as opposed to the weekend.
