You Come and I Go. A Mulder and Scully fanmix/picspam. 9 songs. 9 seasons. 2 films. 2 people. 1 completely complicated yet utterly enthralling relationship.

A/N: This here be my little tribute to my all-time OTP, the unimitable duo of Fox Mulder the believer and Dana Scully the skeptic. Never in my love of fandom have I encountered a pairing that can come close to the emotional intimacy and utter romanticism of these two people. Two lonely figures in the world, each searching for what they deem to be 'the truth', what is most overpowering about them is their need for each other. Their relationship is complicated and conflicted, but they are so utterly unified in their intellectual battles and pure love for each other that their partnership becomes one of beautiful tragedy. In the journey for the truth, they discover that the only real truth is that they can't live without each other.
In this fanmix, I have attempted to convey the many aspects of their relationship, some songs more from Mulder's POV and others from Scully's.
Well, it seems to me that the best relationships-- the ones that last-- are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is... suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with.
