My epic response to the finale. It's gonna be okay you guys. I know these things.

Disclaimer: These are my thoughts and my opinions. They are in no way meant to offend anyone who thinks differently about this episode. In light of all this negativity towards the season finale, I thought it was important that I share why I thought this episode, while not the best episode ever, was still legit. I'm not trying to convince anyone ( Read more... )

All of the characters--- every single one of them--- lives their life has a good and moral person, believing in justice, the search for the truth.

Except Jared who is a self absorbed ass. LOL

Hence, this is the story of Booth and Brennan, in all of it's 'what could be's'.

Well put, but I'm more interested in what IS that what could be.

For me, Brennan WRITING DOWN her feelings for Booth signifies something for me. When Brennan is productive, it means she is using her brain. That's what Brennan does in her job, she's uses her brain to examine, progress, create.

Since I'm the LJ friend that asked for the explanation, LOL, I have to comment on this particularly. Why assume that Brennan was writing down her feelings for Booth? I didn't get that vibe at all. I saw her writing, but to me this was no different than any other time she's been working on a book, with the exception that we were made privy to what she was typing. It didn't seem to me that she thought about it any differently than any other time she's worked on a novel. To me she was the same detached Brennan we've seen in the past while working on a book. this was why for me there was no emotional involvement with the two of them in the episode. And one of the biggest reasons I feel that the fanbase was screwed.

I almost wish that Hart would have just made this episode a regular episode to appease the viewers

While this wouldn't have changed my opinion about the show, I would have dealt with it much better if I knew that next week everyone would be normal and back to themselves. I just wish at this point Hart would keep his damn mouth shut. While I'm a huge spoiler whore, if you're gonna lie to me, I'd rather not hear the spoilers at all.

Over all, I feel like I did with the ending of Season 6 of Gilmore Girls or the last episode of JAG. Like I've wasted 4 years on a show that has no intention of giving me what I want to see.

And Mandi's review, especially the first paragraph above the picture is great!! I agreed with much of what she said, although I hate the unimaginative amnesia plot. I really loved this line from her review...

Nothing these fake characters did was as interesting as what the real characters could've been doing.

AMEN!!!

Sam, I loved reading your thoughts. As always you speak from your heart and your love for the show always shines through in your posts. Make no mistake, I still love this show and I'm fairly certain I'll watch come September, but when the DVDs for Season 4 come out, I will never ever again watch this finale. Never. :)

And finally, I was reading through some comments to something Hart posted on his Twitter today and LJ use snudette wrote this brilliant response.

I know exactly what happened! Brennan's computer was psychically linked to Booth, and when she deleted her story she ERASED HIS BRAIN.

LMAO! So I'm going with HER theory now and praying that on the Season Five opener she hits CTRL-Z and everything will go back to normal in Bones land. :)

LOL thanks for reading even though you don't agree. I don't mind other people being mad at the show, as long as they don't give up on it. Every show effs up at some point, doesn't mean we abandon it though!

Thanks for loving me!

And not gonna lie, I laughed at that person's response too.

It makes more sense than anything Hart's come up with yet. LOL...

I like that you aren't trying to change my mind any more than I'm trying to change yours. Everyone sees different stuff when they watch TV. That's why you have Buffy/Angel fans and Buffy/Spike fans..etc etc. We all love and see what we choose to see. :)

Thanks for putting up with my ramblings. :)

Two Bodies in a Lab is on TNT right now!! YAY!!

BTW, I really admire your optimism. I turned into a cynic after years of watching JAG and Gilmore Girls. I thought I was on my way to climbing out of that hole...only, uh, no. LOL
