Plain, yet beautiful. Graceful, yet flawed. Fierce, yet innocent.
But, enough about her hair.
Kimberly-Jennet Ouxoux was an unearthly beauty, with cascading raven dark hair and stunning grey eyes. Where ever she stepped, the world altered for but a moment in time, she touched all with her sweet charm.
A new ballerina at the Opera Populaire in Paris, she had recently run away from her abusive Father who told her she would never be loved. Kimberly - Kimmy - only loved her Father in return and no one in their little French town understood why her Father hated her so much. Why she could not receive love from her own Father was what Kimmy longed to know.
She was welcomed into the corps de ballet with open arms, but always felt disconnected from life. Kimmy, for no apparent reason, was given an old dressing room. The other ballet rats even told Kimmy it used to belong to Christine Daae - the infamous blond-brunette stalked soprano!
One night, in her sleep, she dreamt of the large mirror sliding open to reveal her Father. Overcome by joy, and unconvinced she was dreaming, she awoke to find the mirror opened! Fearlessly, she began walking down the cold, dim, passageways and down to the…something…cellar. As she journeyed, a song filled her soul that she could not even describe; unscripted, and without previous practice, she began to sing.
After poling her way on the gondola, and walking up on the shores of a mysterious lake…out of complete exhaustion, and with no previous history of fainting, she did, indeed, faint.
Erik, with a sudden soft heart, ran to her and scooped her up into his arms. Her knew Kimmy. He had been watching over her since her arrival. He studied her angelic face. He stroked her pale cheek with his gloved hand.
Yes, Erik knew in his heart he had somehow finally found a woman who would understand his pain.
He laid her down on the Louis-Philippe bed and quietly pulled down the curtain.
Finally, he walked over to his pipe organ and began to play a lullaby.
