Does anyone know anything about music downloading sites? From all the research I've done *which was a lot*, I've discovered that even though Napster offers a free trial, there is SOOO much more to it than that. First of all, even though you are able to download a song, that doesn't mean you'll be able to burn it to a cd. You must pay first. "Streaming"= downloading a song but not burning it. Just plain old listening to it on the computer. This is the catchy little glitch they throw in at Napster. So from what I gather, the free trial is only for "streaming". Then to make things even more complicated, they have multiple memberships. There are soo many hidden tricks I tell you! What happened to the good old days? When burning was free? So this leads me to ask this next question. With sites out there such as iTunes etc..where you only pay a monthly fee and then I'm assuming you don't have to pay for single tracks, why does Napster make you pay for every single track that you want to burn? Why would I pay $9.99 for 10 songs I wish to download when iTunes only charges me $9.99 per month, with unlimited downloading? Ah! the annoying little trivia behind it all. What's a person to do? Oh, I should mention that this is strictly for cd's, not an ipod.
Does anyone have any info? Or what do you guys use?
