GODISNOWHERE!
Oh my god... The ski retreat (GODISNOWHERE) was absolutely amazing. it was all about evangalization, and it was either GOD IS NOW HERE, or GOD IS NO WHERE... you choose which...
the retreat started out with me picking up collin at 3:30 in the morning, that was fun... then we got to church around 4:00 in the morning and left for houston around 4:30. we wound up getting there around 8:00 and our flight left for Reno around 9:30.
Then on the plane, i sat next to george and cassie ( my two lovers )... haha... and the plane ride was like 3 hours long... and then i found out that me and george have the same favorite band... MAE!! so yeah the plane ride was awesome because cassie decided to try and knit... and knitted me a scarf... it is awesome... lol
then we got to reno and we picked up our luggage and went to the resort... we got there figured out who we were rooming with, unpacked, and then went sleding!! it was awesome!! i got to room with steph, cait, erica, laura, and ariel. that was so much fun... then sleding was a blast and we decided to put 4 of us on one sled and it was me, steph, lauren, and cassie, and we actually made it all the way down!! so thats basically what we did the first day...
then the second day was when we woke up around 7:00 and went to breakfast, then went out to the actual mountain... the place is so beautiful... after we all got our equipment, we took a couple lessons, and then went down the slopes... it was the first time i had every really seen snow let alone snowboarded... and then all the advanced snowboarders (dani, george, joe, and steven) decided to take me down a blue... that was so hard... i got so trashed going down that one cause it was the first day i had ever done it... so basically i was going really fast down a hill, and i did a toe side j-turn, went over a huge mogile... did a summersault in the air, landed flat on my stomach, my board came a hit me in the back of the head, then i slid about 20 more feet down the hill on my side ( which wound up getting all scraped and bloody)
so that was my big wipe out, but after that i only fell like 3 more times the rest of the time we were there.
so the next day, i basically stayed with george and went down some greens and blues... that was a lot of fun.. then george decided to attack me with huge snowballs and i nearly killed the kid... but it was still fun... then we went back to the resort and me and erica and katie went a heard george play guitar... he is so awesome... he played us two of his own songs called My Heart Lies Broken Underneath The Moon, and Long Brown Hair Pretty Green Eyes... he is so talented... so now me and george are going to jam together and do a couple doets and possibly play as an opening act for Gina, (one of our group leaders) who is also completely amazing at guitar. then late at night, we started these things called faith tesitmonies, which were just amazing... everyone had to do one, and just to give you an idea, i was balling the whole night...
and then on the third day, we started out with some greens, then went to some blues, then i finally did a black and it was called the Jaboom! it was awesome and i nearly died laughing cause george decided to be a show off and go over a couple jumps, and he did the first one awesome, but then on the next one he just totally ate it... it was so funny... then we got back, me and george played some more guitar, and then we did some more faith testimonies... then we all pulled an all night-er in the common room since it was our last night... it was so much fun...
then we all had to wake up in the morning, at 5:30 and go the airport, take a plane back to houston, and then drive from houston to austin, and i wound up getting home at around 9:00 at night... but all in all, i got so much more out of this retreat than i expected to and it was so much fun... the whole time i saw god in so many different ways, and so...
