a real life update.
So here's an update on my life. While I drink christmas blend coffee from my favorite mug my grandma bought me in DC.
The most exciting news, as of today is as follows:
I'M GETTING A CAR I'M GETTING A CAR I'M GETTING A CAR!!!
A girl I work with is selling me her '99 neon! its so cute. I'm so excited. Its a fantastic deal and my papa loves it! So I'm going to get it as soon as she can sell it. I'm buying a car, me with my very own money! How crazy!
Anyways.
Our Christmas tree fell over the other night and half or ornaments broke. And this year we talked my mom into using our eclectic group of ornaments. like 'babys first christmas' and the ugly ones we made as kids and stuff. Instead of using her sea shell collection that makes our tree look like it came out of a magazine. And sadly its the year that a big break. But I think we revived it nicely.
Christmas music has been on in the background of our home every since thanksgiving, I love it. Though I have only heard my John and Yoko "Happy Christmas" song ONCE! And that is what really gets me into the christmas spirit. That is one of my favorite songs in the world!
Thanksgiving was surprisingly good! Much better than anticipated! I spent it with my dad and Jenny (his girlfriend) and her two kids Megan and Jake at Jenny's mom's house. It was only us and Jenny's mom, so it was nice and quite. I hadn't been with my dad on thanksgiving in a really long time, I don't remember the last time I was. And it made him really happy. It was a great evening. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have spent it with him! (this is so crazy and refreshing!)
We just talked about baby names the whole night, which was really fun. Jenny is going to find out soon if she's having a boy or girl! We're all hoping for a girl. Though I would love another brother. Gosh this is all so crazy, have I meantioned that?
The baby is due within the same week as my graduation at the end of May. My dad said "we wouldn't miss it, unless we're in the hospital having a baby!"
I'm taking classes again at the College in the Spring. Well, just Physical Assessment (With Khrysten and I think Jonathan) and Speech (with Khrysten, Sam and Emily!). It'll be good to get back in school but still not be crazy busy and able to continue helping at home.
But in the fall I'm going to take a full load. And I think I might go into Elementary education and become a teacher!
I've become quite a fan of knitting recently. I've knit a scarf and a few change purses and now I'm working on another scarf. Its so fun!
Stephanie Roberts and I are planning the Coffee house, this next week is when we're going to have to get alot done, but I'm very excited its going to be tons of fun. And i have these really fun fuzzy boots I'm going to wear. :-)
I never really liked Sufjan Stevens before. But then I heard his version of "come thou fount" and fell in love with it and listened to it every 5 seconds! and I got his whole christmas album and I love it all!
I'm going to be 18 in less than a month!!! Wooo!
