It's been a whole two months since I last wrote in this journal!

So I'm sure most of you are wondering why I don't write in my livejournal.  I post more on my blog on myspace.

So I'm having a good summer so far.  It's started off with a business trip to Denver, Colorado in May.  It's beautiful there and I want to go back for fun sometime.  I attended a Western Union compliance conference.  I did get to have a night off fun in downtown Denver with my boss Dan, who also a close friend of mine.

Then shortly after I got back my grandma passed away on 6/6/06 from Leukemia and Diabetes.  I don't have anymore grandparents left.  I wasn't close to her but she loved Nathan and that's because he's a boy.  Everything was always about the boys in the family and I was a disappointment and not only because I'm a girl but I have a kid and I'm not married.  She spoiled Nathan more than she did me.  As you can tell there is more pain then love.  I did cry when I viewed the body and I really cried when I took nathan up to see her and I asked him to blow her a kiss and he did.  I really do think he understood what was going on.  After the service we did Shiva for one day even though it's really 7 days but who wants to sit there and grieve for 7 days.  My family started drinking at 11:30am because we all needed it.  Plus these crazy great aunts talked through the whole service and my brother kicked them out of my parents house later in the day.  Crazy times.

So shortly after that it was off to New York again on business.  I've always wanted to go to New York and I finally did.  My boss' girlfriend and her friend came with because her friend was moving to WA for grad school.  My boss and I visited 7 currency exchanges in the Bronx and 1 in Brooklyn and 2 trips to New Jersey where headquarters is at.  The Bronx is a interesting place, it's the getto but I felt safe unlike the by Sox park on the south side of Chi-town.  People are walking the streets and having a good time and there aren't any run down buildings.  We spent two late nights in Time Square.  Wow it was amazing.  One night we went to a comedy club called New York Improv and the other night we went to 86th floor of the Empire State Building.  I love New York and I really want to go back soon to visit or I wouldn't mind going back there on business.

Other that that I've been meeting other mom's around my area that I met on myspace.  We take our kids to the park and stuff.  It's nice to be making friends with mom's my age.

Dave and I got nathan a bike trailer and for the past three weeks have been riding around busse woods on the 8 1/2 mile loop.  It's great.

I've been spending lots of time with my parents on the weekends.  I've been helping them clean out my grandparents house and they also get to spend time with nathan.

We spent July 3rd with Nathan's godparents and watched the arlington heights fireworks and then on July 4th my parents came out and I made a really good dinner and watch the carol stream fireworks.

I've starting working out with my new bally total fitness pass with my friend Heather.  We motivate each other to work out.

Nathan is starting to say little sentences and repeating things we say.  My dad (the die hard white sox fan) taught Nathan to say Ozzy.  Nathan loves trains and is really into Thomas the Tank Engine.

I went to Lili's Graduation party and had a blast with friends from NIU.  Downside is I got bit once from being outside at her party and my foot swelled up and my dad tells me I  need to see the doctor because I'm allergic to bug bites like he was when he was a kid.

Dave, Nathan and I spend a day in Oak Lawn visiting Shelley and Morgan and had a blast swimming and going to a street fair.

Oh and I got my new T-Mobile Sidekick 3 cell phone and I love it.  Check out www.sidekick.com

That's all I've been up to.  I'm looking forward to seeing more friends, Heather's 26th birthday, being Lili's date for Jessica and Eric's Wedding and Nathan's godparents wedding.  Later!
