lots to say
The other day at work my shift leader was telling me that she was depressed; she said she was just wondering how different her life would be if she had chosen another path or had chosen other decisions. I told her that life would always be like that since we always have decisions everyday...
speaking about decisions...last tuesday I went to Pasadena with my cousins from Norco. I decided I was gonna drive since my sister's tailgating scares me and my cousin drives at a minimum of 90mph, and my other cousin talks too much and doesn't pay attention to the road (once she ran a red light for babbling on). But anyway, the thing is that they insisted on driving, but I was stubborn and didn't let them....bad choice =(...right when I was going to merge on the 210West I see a freaking cop on a motorcycle in the rearview mirror. Everything became surreal. Ofcourse he was wearing his white helmet and dark, shiny sunglasses, and his right hand was signaling to the right. I tried to remain calm, and I did a pretty good job at appearing it, but really I felt I couldn't move. He said I was speeding, and sped right in front of him. All I said was, "sorry, I didn't see you." Then he asked for my driver's license, registration and insurance...=( So I got a ticket...man that sucks!!! Oh well, that's life...you live and learn....
anyway later that night something really cool happened that totally made up for that stinky cop and his ticket. My cousins and I went to grab some dinner at Taco Bell before showing up at The Ice House Comedy Club. The comedians were hilarious..they kept picking on my cousin Chato. The funniest comedian was Jay Garcia and Johnny Sanchez, but Sydney Castillo and this other Asian guy were hilarious. Oh but the last comedian was totally unexpected; he just showed up...and guess who it was?!!!! None other than CHRIS TUCKER!!!!!!!! Heck Yeah!!! That was the coolest thing. I seriously couldn't believe my eyes. Funny thing is that he spoke about how he hated cops because they hid in the woods talking to birds and squirrels to catch you driving without your seatbelt because they supposedly care about your safety. He said that if they really cared about us they wouldn't give us the damn ticket... he also made fun of JLo's marriages and said that she asked him to marry but he said, "Hell no!"...Anyway, that was a cool night. I had lots of fun despite the ticket. So that was on tuesday, Wednesday I worked pretty much all day. Thrusday I didn't do much.
And today...oh today sucked badly. I went to work at 10am and everything was going pretty good till it was almost time for me to leave...I screwed up badly. It was my fault; I admit it, but it sucked. So this is how everything started going downhill. I came to pass out orders, so I started with the first one which was a fish sanwich. So the fish sandwich was ready. I got it and put it on a tray and went deliver it to the owner. So right when I was about to give it to him, he got up and said, "this is not my sandwich; they just told me it would take about 20mins to be ready; this is not my order; it's not mine." At this time I was just silent not knowing what to say. So, I was just like ok, and turned around and when back to get other orders. As I was leaving I saw the old man getting up to go talk to Peggy, the manager, but haha, I also heard Peggy say, "This IS fast food." Anyway, that wasn't the worst that happened, but it was to come. I took this lady's order which included a small coffee, and since there wasn't any, I quickly put some to make....Well, apparently I did something wrong, and later heard from my shift leader that it overflowed and that he burned himself...oops. So that sucked. BUT then, I don't know what I did when I took another lady's order who wanted extra lettuce and tomato on all her burgers. She used her atm or credit card to pay...and I'm so we Todd did I forgot to get the receipt and put it in the register. So that became a mess. It turns out it was in the register next to the one I was using...and I seriously don't know how it got there. I remember taking the order but I don't remember taking the receipt and putting it in the next drawer!! That would be absurd!!! I think I might be going crazy...I'm seriously wondering what it is that happened. So you can imagine how mad my shift leader was...and it's completely understandable...I totally screwed up. It's a good thing it was time for me to go home; I would have hated to stay.
So anyway, I hope you guys have had better times than I have...somewhat.
