blech.

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done.
And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Anywhere from here
Light up, Light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say
To think I might not see those eyes
It makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyes
I nearly do.
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say
Slower, slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads
Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess.
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear.

ohh craig. i miss you. it actually makes my heart hurt to think about how much i want you to be here. and how you never will be here. i still remember walking into the back of that auditorium and seeing you laying there. i remember staring down at you and thinking "any moment he'll jump up and say just joking" and then i watched you lay there and not move. i remember being with kaleigh-brooke at the concert and looking at the corner of skatetown, expecting you to walk around the corner and say "hey breadstick!" and you never did. i just sat there listening to kaleigh and watching that corner. i remember running into my room crying at easter and saying "you should've stayed here. you shouldn't have gone. you weren't supposed to." i remember trembling in my seat in english when i found out and i remember curling up in a dark practice room and just crying. i still can't believe it.

i really needed to write that.
