hello, 2010
the trip home was great yet short. the ok blizzard of '09 was wonderfully welcome although i could not play in the snow. i ran into a lovely older woman who lives in the north hills to and from okc. i don't remember her name, but she gave me quite the hug at lax when i intro'd her to shelby and said my goodbyes. i wish her and her soon to be born great-grandchild all the best.
annika and will welcomed grace into the world a couple of days before the new year. she is so tiny and adorable, but we all know they grow so fast! we were able to stop by for a few hours on new year's to bring them food and catch up. i couldn't play with sam although he wanted me too, and i sure wanted to. a few more weeks yet, and i can throw him around again (and probably throw out my back in the process, the old woman i'm becoming haha!)
started work again today, complete w/ the newest hoff calendar straight from england lovingly bought for me by ansi. my board now looks like a shrine to the baywatch god. oy!
we're still on furlough weeks until further notice, so 3 day weekends, here i come! i must deal with that financially however.
tyler proposed to his girl on christmas morning. she got him a blackberry storm.
i am zonked. the 4 wk checkup went well. should be even better in the next two weeks, especially once we get our memory foam mattress topper. according to the doc's scale, i gained back the 2 1/2 lbs i lost to fibs, but i wonder how much of that is the fluid?
ever since i've been back, we've been indulging ourselves (shelby would use the birthday excuse). steak dinners, mani/pedis, ice cream, and bubbly. shelby desperately needs sam to come over and help him build all his lego sets he has acquired from the holidays. for a second there, shelby was entertaining the car notion when we went to cerritos saturday, and still is, but we also entertained the hdtv notion, before we realized that even at the super awesome price, all the upgrades involved were totally unnecessary right now...although the oscar party on a 46" bravia would be pretty sweet...
why is it always when you should be conserving money, you spend it the most? must resist temptation! or continue to indulge...
