on oct 23rd, 2004, i met
shelbyg at czarnecki's 4th annual halloween party. while the 23rd was a friday this year, czar had his 9th annual party last nite, and we attended probably far later than expected. once steve has the pix posted, i'll link 'em. i can't believe it's been 5 yrs but i'm very happy for them. i guess it's fitting that he moved in w/ me in october of our 5th year together. halloween will be our 1st date anniv. while we have 3 party invites that nite, i've been pretty adamant that we attend the weho carnivale first just because.

while he's off gaming, i am slowly getting organized but failing miserably. i need to make doc appts this week, somehow get my most important doc on the phone who has yet to return my calls, figure out what to do about my phone, pay bills, update quicken...hmmm, it's already 8pm, and i still have to put laundry away. guess i won't succeed completely this evening. i am exhausted, and i really need a break, but i guess that'll happen in december. soooo sleeeeeeeeepy....
ha, i just remembered something else i need to do - it's neverending! and i really want chocolate cake, but we have no eggs. le sigh. wait a sec...there's frozen cake batter in the fridge. ah ha! solid as a rock too - shoulda remembered this hours ago!
i have been cleaning out my work jabbers lately on the work machine. it's affectionately known as destructicorn, and it's the oldest and most despised system in the la ofc. it's been making lovely little rattling sounds off and on for the past year, but they are increasingly consistent, and i fear the corn will not make it to the new year. so i've been running back thru the histories of andrew s, giampa, jesus, brando, ansi, tyler, and robert to try an figure out if there are a few gems worth keeping for fun remembrances later. so far i have yet to be disappointed.
back to it...need to defrost this batter faster...
