i randomly won tix from jack fm for the ikea home and garden show in anaheim this weekend. we journeyed down there yesterday, and while i was tempted with cutco, buffers, grill plates, and soy candles, i spent money on a $2 per person for 12 wine tastes flight and then, at a later booth, peppered beef jerky.
yes, we went to a home and garden show only to be suckered into an uber cheap european wine tasting. we spent two hours with julie at the prp booth, and it was FANTASTIC. we're ashamed to say...no, dangit, we're PROUD of the two cases we bought - italian and german whites & italian and french reds. we will now have more variety in our full closets of california red.
after closing the show, i introduced shelby to buca's before heading back to the big city. he wants to get a big group there now so we can order more things. maybe i'll resurrect that old birthday tradition of mine...
