catching up
aaron and i got into the nkotb event tonite at the hob, but mel, tamika, & annika didn't. mel cried foul b/c she put in aaron's name AFTER hers, and the rejection letter said they could only accept the first 200, so it's very obvious they could only accept the first 200 BOYS and girls. both aaron & i have said we won't go b/c it wouldn't be any fun without the rabid fandom of the other 3, but mel said they're all going up there anyway to see if we all can't get in, and if we can't then it'll be like they're 14 all over again. according to the msg boards, mel & tamika are not the only ones planning on doing that, so we'll see. should be an interesting nite, and i wish i could transfer my pass over to someone more deserving than me.
mel also summed up our saturday pretty well in her post. rivers cuomo played in the celeb game prior to the main game, but i hadn't a clue who 90% of the other guys were (other than anthony lapaglia, alexi lalas, and cobi jones) and didn't recognize him until he waved to the chanting weezer fans in the angel city brigade post game. he was dubbed creepy moustache guy by mel, b/c he was. i am tired of going to galaxy games and seeing them lose or tie. it's pretty sucky, and my camera sux even more, so i couldn't get the decent shots of juan pablo's goal or beckman hanging out in the box. everything's blurry.
came home to kent & shelby mapping out my apartment for when kent leaves. i jokingly said the irony was not lost on that, but shelby did bring the very pretty corner stand home that he got me and transferred my snowglobes to it - it looks REALLY good just like i knew it would, so i can't wait to actually put it in the corner of my room rather than against my bookcase. i can't wait for a lot of things though. mom's pkgs are coming friday, so i would like to get those curtains up sooner rather than later considering the heat wave will be here by the weekend.
i need to deposit my tax return, and the errands that need to be run...yipes! to top it off, my left eye regressed yesterday so i'm in glasses today again. i do need to make another vision appt before year end, but i am not doing the deep cleaning on the teeth just yet...
