whoa - this day has been, well, aagh!
ironically, while my boss is on the picket line, i am coordinating business travel for him. them funny non-writing duties...in the interim i have been catching up on the trillions of emails in my various boxes as well as picture surfing for the groovy wedding we attended this weekend.
friday nite were the bachelorette/bachelor parties for
kar3ning &
thefreak . i met up with the girls in dashing diva - a great place to have a little girly get together when you have a few bucks to drop on manis & pedis. after dinner @ cafe bizou and a lovely bottle of justin cabernet sauv courtesy of
clynne , we met up with the bachelor party @ forty deuce.
shelbyg had to go to work the next morning, so we left earlier than we wanted. thank you,
squeakytina and tiffany ( i am sure she has an lj too) for such a fun nite!
saturday i dusted and swept the house for mai's arrival in a week. i will actually mop closer to the date b/c otherwise, well, i live with kent, so everyone knows the rest of that statement. met up with
alex_victory , shelby, and dan b after shelby got home and watched dan & alex beat halo 3. dan has one week left and then he is off to dc. that'll be a party next weekend.
sunday watched with much heartbreak lj sprain his foot and huard lose the game to the packers. then we drove to venice for the skate park wedding event of the year. overcast and chilly, the day didn't rain on the bride & groom's parade - only the wind created slight havoc - and after the massive kiss & dip, the husband and wife posed for pictures and skated a lap around the park.

we at that point had snuck into the sidewalk bar & grill for the rest of the colts/pats game. then we had dinner @ c& o before heading to the reception in the carousel house on the santa monica pier. much cake, wine, champagne, dancing, general carousing, and merry-go-rounding was had. i am looking forward to seeing all of the pictures, but for now, i will gank
