Centrelink question

Nov 14, 2010 17:51

This is more of an Australia question than a Brisbane question, but you guys seem to know a lot about everything, so I thought I'd give it a shot (and if there's a better place to ask this, please point me in the right direction!).

About a month ago I got my first Centrelink Health Care card and, being the scatterbrain that I am, kept forgetting to bring it with me when I bought a whole bunch of prescription medications. I mentioned this to one of the pharmacy people and they said that there's a way I can claim the difference back with the receipts, as I just didn't have my card with me at the time. However, I have no idea how to do this, and Googling isn't bringing up anything useful at all. Can I actually do this or is it just a myth? And if so, how do I go about it? Do I need special receipts or will just ordinary retail receipts do?

Thanks :)
