interesting gowns

Just a short question but one that is leaving me a little frazzled.
A very good friend of mine is having a black tie wedding in a month's time and I've just found out that it is VERY black tie (long gown, tuxedo etc). Where in Brissy can I found a great long gown that doesn't scream 'formal dress'? Something a little interesting even and non-generic (i.e. not one that has loads more on the rack).
Help is SO much appreciated!
