What are people's thoughts on the
new ferris wheel at South Bank?
Personally, I think it doesn't look too bad. I mean, it lights up nicely. But I don't know if it's really worth $15 for a 15-minute ride. Also, I know it was
originally planned for May or something for the anniversary of Expo '88 and all that, but opening it around now seems silly with the ferris wheels at the Ekka (which are cheaper) operating at the moment.
Also, what can you see from the wheel that you can't see from wandering around the City/South Bank? It just doesn't seem like a good location for any sort of exclusive views. But, I suppose the company that's running it knows what they're doing and we have to put up with it for at least 2 years anyway, so we might as well get used to it.
