You don't need anyone else's confirmation to know that you are more than good enough at being Katie. What happened to your entry about being happy with who you are? I liked that.
Hardly anyone I have known has made me feel as good about myself as you do. You have always been the kind of friend who shows someone that you care about them, and I hope that I can do the same for you.
We are in high school. Some adults say these are the best years of our lives, but I disagree. It is hard being a teenager. But getting through all these things that seem to be horrible now will make you a better person in the end, and the people who get everything they want now are going to have a rude awakening when they reach adulthood.
Somewhere out there, there is a guy who is looking for a girl just like you. Maybe he doesn't go to Heritage, but that's okay. When you find him, it won't matter anymore. Any guys you have to try to impress in order for them to like you aren't good enough for you anyway. You are going to find someone who truly cares about you and who doesn't need to be impressed. He will be impressed by who you are and that's all.
So cheer up. You don't need a guy to like you to know that you are beautiful. Just have fun being Katie. I know you can.
