Interesting story from work
So, yesterday evening while I was working two bikers entered the store. They looked very much biker-like with well worn-in pants and leather jackets decorated with their club insignia. They had impressive beards and half-long to long hair. The shorter-haired one also wore a bandana. The longer-haired one looked around searchingly, and being as I am in the service profession I stepped up behind the counter to see if I could be of any service. The biker spots me and asks...
"Do you have any flowers? Out-door flowers?"
"Sure!" I reply and indicate a fairly large cart full of greenery on the other side of the counter "Just over there."
"And they're out-door flowers?"
"Yeah, I think so... hang on, mom should know."
And so I call my mother over who proceeds to explain that yes, at least the ones far down on the cart are out-door flowers and will take temperatures down to -12c. They spend some time picking out the ones that look best. First all the yellow ones, and since there were quite few of them left he also got a fair number of really dark purple ones. So in the end this big bad looking biker walks out of the store with some random groceries and 20 pansies! It was adorable :)
