Interesting facts

My contacts have been drying out at a rather alarming rate the past week or so. I think it may be the fact that I have kids splashing chlorinated water in my eyes for two hours a day while I'm wearing them. So as I am typing this, my vision keeps going in and out of focus. Whatever, I always like a good challenge.

I have been researching childhood autism a lot lately. It's extremely interesting, and sad at the same time. Sad because I can imagine what parents must go through when their seemingly healthy, happy child suddenly closes up and goes inside themselves...and won't come out. But, I like learning about it. Because I've been taken hold by this rather crazy idea that I want to be a special ed teacher...more specifically an early childhood autism specialist. Every time I think about it I get really excited. So I figured I should learn as much as I could about it. So far it's been a very enlightening experience.

I've been slacking off on my clarinet hardcore. Hard FREAKING core. Like I have never slacked before. I think it's because I practiced like such a crazy woman at the end of the school year. Burn out...it's a terrible thing. Eh well. I suppose I can't be on top of EVERYTHING at once.

JOKE OF THE MONTH!!! I know some of you have heard this, but it's so funny I have to share it with the masses. Ha, masses. As if masses would read my livejournal. Ah, I digress as usual. This joke is care of Krystyn Ourada, by the way.

So Mark Twain had a son, who was also a writer. His name?

Choo Choo.

Choo Choo Twain.

You have to say it out loud to get the full effect. Then I know you'll laugh your ass off. I did.
