No I'm not pregnant.... I'm just fat

So this bizzaro Brisbane weather ruined plans for gathering in open-air spaces tonight and I'm just too fooked/sleep deprived/drained to maintain party mode until midnight.  Hence why I'm at home under a blanket writing my year review on LJ.  Actually I just wanted to use my new icon, but I'll type up some text to make it worth the visit.

Despite the temptation to purge my soul out into cyberspace, I'm going to stick with the original plan and reflect on the (few) good things that happened in 2007.

1.  The camarilla meeting spree.  In the past twelve months there was the uber awesome dinner with the folks from the Tokyo chapter (all US Navy people but don't hold that against them), plus the girl I want to be like when I grow up "like Five with an S instead of the F" - or also known as fluffworld.  Plus finally meeting the infamous vonnegut_5 who thankfully forgave me for some shoddy directions about getting around South Brisbane.

2.  Going whale watching with razorgirl_au up at Hervery Bay.  The drive nearly killed my poor little car and I came back with a bit of a lobster like complexion, but it was such an amazing experience to be mugged by whales and to see them play chasie with dolphins.  There was also that joy that come from random, unplanned adventures that make life exhilerating and a joy.

3.  penny7b coming back after all her crazy jetsetting and adventuring.  Nuff said.

4.  Getting ADSL2+ internet connection.  Yes I am a loser nerd... but one with awesome download speeds.

5.  The fact that I'm still here at the end of it all.  Maybe a little more broken and possibly a lot more angry, but still making it through each day because I still believe that there is a tomorrow that is worth getting excited over.
