While I think that holding LARP events at a pub and allowing players to drink during games is a great thing, I find I am missing the "post-game drinks" that are a staple of every Brisbane requiem game.   At both games I've been to here in the UK, people finish the game then go home (unless the gathering point is secret and I'm not cool enough to be in the loop).  It's not helping in my desperate need to find buddies to do normal things.  I guess sometimes you find that you'll need the social circle more than the social circle needs you.

Besides my occasional gaming fixes, the search for a job continues.  I have been interviewed by a couple of agencies who think my resume is neat and somehow my Word/Excel testing produced "Very Good" results, even though I still haven't learnt how to mail merge in excel - one of those things they always test you on at employment agencies.  All this means is that the chance of me staring work somewhere soonish has increased, which would be nice because money is a good thing.

In attempts to keep busy I have wandered about and visited various touristy sights like the various bridges, parks and shopping areas.  I'll post a couple of those photos tomorrow, too lazy right now.  I also have plans to visit Cardiff for two reasons: (1) So that I will have seen Wales and (2) to go see the Doctor Who exhibit.  It doesn't take much to bring out my inner nerd.

Also had a great day in Brighton with my Aunt.  Never actually made it to the shoreline due to getting distracted by the drinking of a couple of bottles of wine at an Italian restaurant, but Brighton seemed like a nice enough place.  No photos from that trip alas (see previous comment about booze for reason why).  In true Australian fashion, this piss up also occurred the day before my two big employment interviews, so my nifty test scores were achieved while feeling hugely seedy and sleep deprived from taking the 6.30am train back to London.
