something i wrote in algebra today

hearts on sale
take your pick
different sizes, different colors
what is this that i see?
there in the corner, what can it be?
a black little box with a sign on the side-
it reads: fragile glass, handle with care
place the box back down slowly and gently
the corners of the box unfold
a beautiful heart waiting for someone to hold
pick this heart up and admiring its light
this heart seemed perfect, just right
but there was one blemish,
a scar left from before,
what happened to this almost perfect heart?
what can be done to help it meand?
this heart is still waiting
for someone to love and hold
reach me if you know of someone
who can help this heart start up again, thank you
and now this boring letter will come to an end
